The presence of a valid insurance policy is a prerequisite for obtaining a visa (in particular, the Schengen one). If you don’t have time, desire or opportunity to collect and prepare the accompanying documentation, these issues can be delegated to the team of Horizon Aviation International.
Having established partnerships with a number of insurance companies, the specialists will select the best offers based on the purpose of your trip, the country of obtaining visa, the amount of coverage and additional risks.
If you’ve booked a private jet for a group trip with family, friends or colleagues, all of you can be written in a single insurance policy (however, everyone will have to get visas individually).
To obtain insurance, you must indicate the full names and dates of birth of all persons whose names will be written in the insurance policy, select the type of trip, the geographical limits of the policy (a specific country, a specific region or the whole world), and indicate the factors of additional risks (to them, in particular, extreme sports applies).
Basic insurance covers the following services:
- emergency medical assistance;
- expenses for medicines and hospital stay (when indicated);
- transportation to a medical facility;
- medical evacuation / repatriation.
If you don’t want to be limited to the basic package, you can choose an extended policy, also insuring luggage and important documents, civil liability to third parties, treatment for injuries resulting from sports, purchase accident and trip cancellation coverage. Keep in mind that each additional item can (and will) increase the cost of the insurance policy.
Insurance for a visa can be single, multiple and valid for an individual period. All variables, as well as the age of the insured, will affect the final cost of the policy.
When taking out insurance, it’s worth to remember that the key goal is to insure life and health, and not to comply with the formalities for obtaining a visa. Keep in mind that without a policy, when an insured event occurs, you’ll have to pay the bills yourself, so saving on insurance can ultimately cost you dearly.
